Who it’s for

A second opinion helps when you face a big medical decision

You don’t need a referral. If any of these sound like you, a UK consultant can look at your case and tell you what they would do.

You’ve been told you need an operation

Check surgery is the right step before you commit to it.

Your diagnosis doesn’t feel right

Have a specialist look at the scans and results again.

Doctors have told you different things

Get one clear, independent view of what to do next.

You have a serious or rare condition

Make sure nothing has been missed in your care.

You’re about to start major treatment

Understand your options before you begin.

The right specialist isn’t available near you

Reach a UK consultant without leaving your country.

How it works

From your records to a doctor’s answer in five steps

Everything happens online, usually within 3–5 working days. Scroll to follow a sample case from upload to written opinion.

  1. 01

    Upload your records

Share your scans, reports, letters and test results. You can add a short video explaining your symptoms in your own words.

  2. 02

    Matched to the right specialist

Your case goes to a UK consultant who treats your condition every week, not a general doctor.

  3. 03

    Your doctor reviews everything

The consultant personally reads every document, looks at your scans and watches your video. No AI is used.

  4. 04

    You receive a written opinion

A clear, signed report on your diagnosis and treatment plan, written so you and your own doctor can act on it.

  5. 05

    We guide your next steps

Where it helps, we name a trusted clinic near you, and you can talk it through on a video call.

What to have ready

Send what you have. Your doctor will tell you if anything else would help.

  • Scan images or discs (MRI, CT, X-ray)
  • Radiology reports
  • Clinic and discharge letters
  • Blood and lab results
  • A list of your medicines

Wherever you live

UK specialist care, without leaving your country

Millions of people live where the specialist they need is scarce, overloaded or unaffordable. Many end up travelling abroad just to be seen. We bring the consultant to you instead.

  • No travelling abroad to see a specialist

Going overseas can cost thousands before anyone has examined you. A second opinion from us costs a fraction of that, and arrives in days.

  • Priced for where you live

The same consultant review, priced against local incomes rather than converted from a London fee. See pricing.

  • Answers in plain language

Written for you and for your own doctor, so you can take it into your next appointment and be taken seriously.

  • Your treatment stays local

We are advisory only. Your care continues with doctors licensed where you live, and we tell you which ones we trust.

Where our patients are

Written opinions are available in every country. These are our launch countries. Tap one to see its trusted clinics.

Opinion + trusted local clinics
Opinion available · clinics coming soon

Not on the list? We still review your case. We just haven’t checked local clinics in your country yet.

      After your opinion

An opinion is only useful if you know where to take it

In each country, our doctors build a list of clinicians, clinics and hospitals they have checked themselves. No adverts and no paid listings. Places our specialists would send their own family.

Illustrative examples for this preview. No partnership with any named organisation is implied or in place.

Our doctors earn nothing from where you go next

The consultant who writes your opinion has no financial interest in the clinic they recommend, and is never paid for a referral. Any fee partner clinics contribute goes to the platform and to our charitable fund, never to the doctor advising you. That independence is what makes the recommendation worth having.

Why a doctor, not a chatbot

When it matters, you don’t want a list of possibilities. You want a specialist’s answer.

Anyone can type symptoms into a chatbot. Here’s why that isn’t a second opinion.

      AI symptom checkers

      • Give long lists of possible diagnoses and treatments
      • Can’t weigh your scans, reports and history together
      • No experience, no accountability, no name behind the answer
      • Often leave you more anxious than when you started

      A Consult Second Opinion consultant

      • One considered, written opinion. A real answer.
      • Every document, scan and video personally reviewed
      • A named UK specialist signs your opinion
      • Clear next steps, including a trusted local clinic
      Pricing

The same opinion, priced for where you live

One consultant, one standard of review. A London fee makes no sense in Lagos or Lahore, so we band our prices by country.

Every paid opinion helps fund a free one

A share of what we earn, including what partner clinics contribute to join our trusted network, goes into a charitable fund that pays for second opinions for patients who cannot afford one. None of it reaches the consultant reviewing your case. Getting answers shouldn’t depend on where you were born.

      Before you start

The things people usually ask us first. If yours isn’t here, get in touch and a member of the team will reply.

      Contact us
What is a medical second opinion?

It’s when another specialist doctor reviews your diagnosis and treatment plan to confirm it, or to suggest a different approach. It’s common before surgery or major treatment, and most doctors welcome it.

Is any of this done by AI?

No. A named consultant reads your records and writes your opinion personally. Your opinion is never generated by software.

      Who are the doctors?

UK consultants, meaning senior specialist doctors, on the GMC specialist register and still treating patients. Every opinion carries the doctor’s name, so you can check their registration yourself on the GMC website.

What do I need to send?

Whatever you have: scan images or discs, radiology reports, clinic letters, blood results and a list of your medicines. A short video in your own words helps too. If something important is missing, your doctor will tell you.

      How long does it take?

Most written opinions arrive within 3–5 working days of us receiving your records. Complex cases involving several specialists take longer, and we’ll tell you the expected timing at the start.

Does this replace my own doctor?

No. We give advisory opinions on diagnosis and treatment. We don’t prescribe or recommend specific medication. Your treatment continues with doctors licensed where you live, and you can share our opinion with them.

      Who sees my medical records?

Only the team handling your case and the consultant reviewing it. Our privacy policy explains how your records are stored, how long we keep them and how to ask us to delete them.

Have your reports and scans to hand. You’ll be matched with the right consultant as soon as your records are in.
